About
The Superfast West Yorkshire and York programme is now in its THIRD phase and will target the final two per cent of premises, both residential and business, currently without access to superfast broadband.
This 2% comprises the hardest to reach rural areas not already targeted through either a commercial rollout or the previous two phases of superfast broadband delivery. This third period delivered in partnership with Quickline Communications, will enable more than 5,500 more businesses and homes to connect to superfast broadband via a mixture of fixed wireless access and fibre to the home.
Stage Three of the programme, funded primarily by the Dept of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, is being delivered by Quickline via a contract with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and will deliver faster broadband across Bradford, Calderdale, City of York, Kirklees, Leeds, and Wakefield.
